Meet The Team
JOHN MARION
Founder and CEO
John Marion has been an active member of the Springfield, Missouri community for many years. Together with his wife, Tanya, he has raised five children, and they are now proud empty nesters.
John founded John Marion Custom Homes in 1994 while serving as a professional firefighter—a career that spanned 27 years. After retiring as Battalion Chief from the Springfield Fire Department, he dedicated himself full time to his passion for building high-quality, energy-efficient custom homes.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Missouri State University and is a Certified Graduate Builder and Certified Green Professional through the National Association of Home Builders.
What began as a one-man operation—working from a home office and managing every detail himself—has grown into a thriving company with a full-time team of five. John takes great pride in the collaborative, high-trust culture that defines John Marion Custom Homes and the relationships built with each client.
